100th Day of School

Today was Lake Victoria Learning Center's one hundredth day of school!  Its 100th day ever, for that matter.  (And yes, we started the year much later than most of you in America.)  In a fun coincidence, day #100 fell on St. Patrick's Day, so we included a fair amount of green in our celebration.

Our mid-morning break became a miniature party with 100-themed posters and cupcakes.

In the early elementary classroom, we're very proud of our chain.  We've been counting each and every day, adding link after link as it gradually got longer and longer...  And now it's done!  100 links.  And you can't even see the first couple loops in this photo.

By the way, the kids took turns making the links.  Each paper strip got the number of the day and usually  some elaborate decorations, too.  Special mention goes to Mikayla B, who was with us during the early weeks, and to Tessa H, who left town just days short of the 100 mark--May you enjoy celebrating your 100th day in Nairobi!
